About

Since 1953

Established in post war England by Peter McGuffie to supply the UK Armed Forces with the ‘paste’ used to polish webbing on military uniforms, in the years since Fleet has adapted, innovated and grown to become the world’s pre-eminent line marking paint and applicator manufacturer.

Award winning

In the swinging ‘60's, Fleet became the market leader in sports line marking. Even in those days, Fleet was winning awards for innovation. One of the first awards to won was the prestigious IOG Gold Award for the first dry marking machine. Further awards have followed in every decade since.

Partnership

Meanwhile in the year 2000, John Carr partnered with Peter McGuffie’s son, Iain with a plan to service the New Zealand sports market. This partnership began with John importing containers of linemarking paint and machinery direct from the UK. Through hard work and a commitment to customer satisfaction Fleet quickly became the favourite brand of the Kiwi sports industry, and turning quickly to manufacturing in Whanganui.
